In Monday's studio session with Amber we looked at how to visual represent information using symbols and pictograms, otherwise known as Information Graphics. We began by writing down 20 fact about our individual topic (mine being Paper Mache). We then took all the important dates from our education to present and formatted them in a timeline using a key and symbol method to represent what I did at each stage. No type was involved apart from in the key, yet the information was still easy to understand and translate. We then took our 20 fact about Paper Mache and interpreted them using a 'Information Graphics' format. I really enjoyed the session and found it useful in helping me to visualise meaning where no type / text is present. Here are some of my images from the session;
