Today I began properly designing my double page spread based on Emily James. I experimented a lot with colour, type and image. Realising I could not use images from Emily's blog, as these are only 72dpi and not 300dpi which is necessary for print format, I decided to create a solution by using Adobe Illustrator to construct a vector image based on the homepage of Emily's blog. I will possibly see is Emily have any photographs of herself that I can include. Here is where I am at so far with the designs:
